The Thailand Privilege Visa — still widely known by its former name, the Thailand Elite Visa — is the most accessible long-term residency option in Thailand. Unlike the LTR visa which demands proof of income, assets, or employer credentials, the Privilege Visa has one requirement: the membership fee.
What it buys you is time, convenience, and a curated VIP experience. A 5 to 20-year multiple-entry visa, fast-track airport immigration, a personal assistant who handles your 90-day reporting, and — from Gold tier upward — an annual allocation of Privilege Points to spend on lifestyle benefits.
Bronze tier closes 30 September 2026 at 4:30pm Bangkok time. After this date, the minimum entry price rises to Gold at 900,000 THB. If you are considering the Privilege Visa, Bronze is a once-only window.
The Thailand Privilege Visa is a government-backed long-term residency programme administered by Thailand Privilege Card Co., Ltd. Every Privilege Visa is technically a Special Tourist Visa (Privilege Entry, category PE).
This classification means it does not grant work rights — you cannot hold a Thai work permit. However, it provides what most members buy it for: an end to visa runs, a VIP airport experience, and the certainty of being able to live in Thailand for 5 to 20 years.
Fast-track immigration lanes at Suvarnabhumi, Phuket, and Chiang Mai. Processing in 30 mins or less.
Your EPA meets you at the gate, escorts you through immigration, and assists with luggage.
An Elite Liaison handles your 90-day immigration report on your behalf. You do not attend in person.
Exclusive rates at restaurants, spas, golf courses, and partner hospitals across Thailand.
The Privilege Visa does NOT grant work rights. Remote work for overseas employers is generally tolerated in practice, but if you need a Thai work permit to work for a Thai company or employ staff, you need the LTR or a Non-Immigrant B visa.
